How to Check if Your Humidifier Is Working Properly

1. Increase the thermostat slightly so the furnace turns on.

2. Set the humidistat to the highest level.

3. Confirm the water shut-off valve is fully open.

4. Check inside the humidifier — you should see water begin to drip.

5. Turn the humidistat back down to the lowest setting.

6. Verify that the water stops flowing.

✔️ If the water starts when turned up and stops when turned down, your humidifier is functioning correctly.
